MATARAT Holding’s Successful Digital Transformation Journey in 2024
In today’s digital world, companies and firms are on continual lookout for more innovative ways of optimizing operations, increasing employee efficiency and enhancing customer experiences. MATARAT Holding is among the companies committed to a successful digital transformation journey.
Recently, MATARAT Holding and its three subsidiaries successfully implemented SAP software that gives multiple functions a comprehensive overview of organizational operations. It also helps MATARAT Holding better manage complex business processes by giving employees of different departments easy access to real-time insights across the enterprise, including streamlined operations, improved data visibility, enhanced customer experience and scalability for growth.
“This transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the project team and the strategic support of management and the business partnership with Price Waterhouse Coopers as the SAP implementer,” said Yaagoub AlNujaidi, VP of Digital and Technology for MATARAT Holding.
Digital transformation in companies is not just about adopting new technologies but also involves making a cultural shift within the organization, enabling it to become more agile, innovative and customer-centric. It is a strategic approach aimed at securing a competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
In March, MATARAT Holding and Devoteam signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding digital transformation and innovation at the global technology conference LEAP 2024 to empower digital transformation in the Saudi airport sector, thereby supporting innovation, implementing modern technologies and providing the necessary support and technical expertise. Furthermore, the MoU is expected to enhance technical capabilities in Saudi airports, digitalize the Saudi airport sector and improve the travel experience.
To ensure a seamless passenger flow through the entire boarding and arrival process at Saudi airports, MATARAT Holding works closely with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to develop a digital system for managing and monitoring passenger movement at Saudi airports. The system is also the first of its kind in the world in terms of scope of coverage, which includes 27 airports across Saudi Arabia to improve the travel experience and activate digital transformation to provide the best services in accordance with international standards to offer a positive passenger experience at Saudi airports.
Furthermore, MATARAT Holding has a corporate website that provides the ability to influence how people see MATARAT Holding. Overall, it is a well-designed website with useful information that conveys MATARAT Holding’s status as the operator of a thriving and reliable business. Once visitors are convinced that information can be trusted, it is easier to convert them into potential clients. Another benefit of MATARAT Holding’s website is that it enables current and potential clients to easily get in touch and learn more about MATARAT Holding.
It is worth noting that the Kingdom's airports are supervised by MATARAT Holding, which monitors the operations of 27 airports in Saudi Arabia through its subsidiaries (Riyadh Airports, Jeddah Airports, Dammam Airports and Cluster 2) to develop the country’s airports and improve their performance to keep up with the rapid pace of current developments. This aligns with the Saudi Aviation Strategy, which is grounded in the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
